A fantastic autumnal weekend in the Lake District to inspire you, with the new 15km Helvellyn Trail taking place on Saturday 1st November and a return of the successful 12km "Steamy Surprise" Ullswater Trail on Sunday 2nd November. Last year's Ullswater Trail event received a 98% overall approvals rating from Runnersworld magazine and was rated the "best new race in 2007" Online entries are now available, with a discounted rate for the "Dirty Double" The NEW 15km Helvellyn Trail is now over 85% full, and the 12km Ullswater Trail "Steamy Surprise" is now 70% full (both as of 01/09/08)
There is a Challenge setting off first for faster walkers, nordic walkers and less competitive runners. Finally the the competitive Trail Race sets off an hour afterwards, both events following the same course. The "Dirty Double" combines both the 15km Helvellyn Trail and the 12km Ullswater Trail.
An exciting and fun atmosphere is guaranteed for spectators and competitors alike. Live music with a race commentary and other entertainment's all make for a great weekend out for all the family.
Children's Fun Trails take place when most of the competitors are back from the Trail. These short fun runs for children (under 8's, under 10's and under 12's) are all about having a go. Finishers are rewarded with a specially engraved medal, and there are winner's prizes and spot prizes too.
