Please keep checking this page for up to date information and any changes. Start numbers are collected on race day from the Registration in the Marquee on Jenkins Field - open from 09.30. Refreshments are being provided by Patterdale Primary School Support Group - they will be selling tea, coffee and yummy home made cakes and raising some money for school funds. The Gillside campsite in Glenridding is open during the Ullswater Trails weekend.
PARTY TIME ! We now have confirmation that we can hold a ticket only party for a limited number of people on board the Ullswater Steamer "Raven" on Saturday 1st November (18.30 - 20.30). We have booked the Ragtime Rascals Jazz Band, and your entry ticket includes a locally produced beef / lamb / pork carvery, bread roll and choice of salads. With a fully licensed bar, what better place to enjoy the evening ? Tickets (£7) on sale at the Enquiries Desk on race day only.
NEWS : We are now in Glenridding setting up the event for the weekend. As of Thursday 30th October, both the car parking and site venue are both in good condition despite last weekend's heavy rainfall. The high lake level of Ullswater is dropping quickly and the Ullswater Steamers hope to resume normal service again soon. Both the Helvellyn Trail on Saturday 1st and the Ullswater Trail on Sunday 2nd are scheduled to take place as planned.
Car parking will be on George V Playing fields (clearly sign posted), park as directed by marshals. In the event of extreme wet weather (aka Coniston), roadside and Pay & Display parking in Glenridding will be used. The gate entrance to Jenkins Field is waterlogged so the starts will be on the adjacent lane - finish for both days will still be on Jenkins Field.
